Born and raised in
Morro Bay
California, Marc has been a
sportsman since he could walk. As a boy he spent countless hours fishing
onboard the Bonnie Marietta, the family’s 40
foot commercial fishing vessel. Time not spent on the ocean was spent camping
and hunting with both father, Mark, and mother, Bonnie.
During college, Marc began guiding pig and
turkey hunters on the Jack Ranch near Parkfield California.
What started as a part time job soon became a passion and consumed most of his
days. With the access to many specimens, Marc began mounting a variety of
animals for family and friends. Requests by hunting clients and complaints
about typical taxidermist return times led Marc to begin mounting trophies for
a select few for customers. By taking on only a few projects at a time, Marc is
able to take the time on each mount as if it were his own, yet complete and
return each mount within a very short time frame. “I treat each mount as if it were my own and each customer the way that
I would want to be treated.” Marc Tognazzini.
